I saw DMB in Mountain View, CA last fall, and I can't wait to go to another concert!
I am a huuuuuuge fan. Anyone heard of any new tours coming up this year? I hope so!
Hey I'm Jaymie. Tremendous huge fan of DMB. I love them! Anyone know if they will be in Colorado anytime soon???
Did anybody else get to go to either show this past weekend? I went to Saturday's and have to say it was one of the best DMB shows I've seen (and Saturday was #10 for me).
They played a 20 minute Seek Up. Followed by Don't Drink the Water (with the long intro). Followed by Dancing Nancies.
They played Sweet Caroline (which ROCKED) and Down by the River (a Neil Young cover which was great) and the Maker, which I can't remember ever seeing in concert. They played Halloween for the last song of the encore and all together the show lasted well over 2.5 hours.
Here's the set list.
Overall, I give it nine stars out of ten. It only gets dinged for opening with Crash, which is my least favorite DMB song. That and I was really hoping to hear Crush or The Stone. :)
Peace!
Dave Matthews Band is no longer coming to Perth (West Coast Blues and Roots festival). Their whole Australian tour has been rescheduled and they won't be making it here.
It was my first real chance to see Dave live and now that's not going to happen. We don't have the money to fly interstate and see them there. I'm very upset.
Now, I don't know when I'll ever get to see him/them...
Well it's official, I'm going to Vegas to see one of my true loves, Dave Matthews Band. I just booked my flight and hotel the other day and I must admit that I am now getting pretty excited. Not only will it be my first time seeing DMB two nights in a row, but also my first time to Vegas. I usually go to one or two shows a year since '01, but didn't make it this past year, so I'm well overdue for a show. I started going through some Dave withdrawl not so long ago, and I've had to resort to watching some live DVD's and listening to a few of my live shows. (By the way, I have tons of shows if anyone is interested in getting some). As the big weekend draws near I can start to hear the roar of the crowd, smell the weed of one of many "smokers" in the audience, hear the sweet, sweet sounds of Carter's drums and Dave's voice, and see the oh so sexy way Dave raises his one eyebrow...VEGAS BABY, VEGAS!
Hi all you shy little Dave fans...
I'm a little disappointed we haven't had any posting yet *pokes you all* - doesn't anyone have any stories, songs, photos etc to share?
Well, as per the title of this post, I have changed the layout for the group. It's not exactly ideal but it's a bit more interesting than how plain it was before.
So I hope you'll all be here to check it out sometime soon - and maybe, just maybe, you'll post something too *grin*.
Just a little video I just stumbled across on YouTube [warning, it's actually not so little]:
(I don't really know much about YouTube and the video did not seem to want to show up in the post itself, so I'm just linking to it instead)
I love hearing Dave talk, as well as sing obviously. Yeah he tends to mumble a bit but it's just part of the charm I guess.
I thought it might be a good first addition here because it contains multiple fantastic songs.
I hope to see some more posts in here soon. Bring on the Dave discussion.
P.S I do also love the Dave Matthews Band - it's not ALL about just Dave himself (though, as a woman, I admit he has rather a lot of appeal in various ways, heh).
Come right in and make yourself at home. We're all friends here...well, fellow Dave fans at least - and what could be better than that? *grin*
If you've received an invite it's because I searched for users who had listed Dave Matthews and/or Dave Matthews Band as an interest...I figured some of you might be happy to meet other Dave fans!
Anyway, it's getting late here so I can't take too long but I'll quickly introduce myself:
I'm Michelle, a 30 year old Australian girl who discovered Dave Matthews Band in early 2001 (through a German ex boyfriend). Dave isn't that well known here in Australia so I'm really looking forward to talking "all things Dave" with some like-minded voxers.
I'll be seeing Dave live IN PERSON for the first later this year at the West Coast Blues and Roots festival (March 31 - April 1). I AM SOOO EXCITED. I CAN'T WAIT!
That's it for now.
I hope to see you here soon.
